If it’s a commercial project, I want to understand your business strategy, the operation and your competitors before I develop the concept. I want to ensure that we develop a design that is unique and works perfectly for your business. I don’t want to create another ‘me-too’ commercial design that does not help your business stand out.
If it’s a residential project, the first thing I do is to understand your needs, wants and personal tastes. I want to understand how you (and your family) live, the personalities of the people living in the space, your lifestyle, etc.
It’s essential for me to understand the space very well to get a good sense of what I am working with. Because I like to feel the energy of a space, I may require repeat visits to see it at different times of day. I prefer to be in the space to visualize and get a real feel for what works best in the space, taking into account the subtle factors that affect that space, such as lighting, sound, and how the space will be used.
For the renovation work, I work regularly with a few different construction companies. These are companies that I am happy to work with because of their quality, reliability and pricing. I usually supervise all the renovations myself to ensure that the designs are well executed and that the standard of work is high.

通常我会与几家建筑公司合作完成装潢项目，因为这些公司质量高，值得信赖并且价格公道。我会亲自监督所有工程的进行以保证高质，同时也确保我的设计被很好地执行。
